Play a critical role in partnering with a world class marine facility committed to providing the best services to their clients  and their yachts of all sizes with in house trades, and on site shops when it comes to maintenance, refit, and repair in  Thunderbolt, GA, just south of historic downtown Savannah.What matters most as a cabinet maker: Pay of $20-$30 / hr based on experienceOn-site position located in the Thunderbolt, GA area1st shift 8:00am-5:00pm Monday – FridayBenefits include; medical, dental, and vision, additional benefits such as group accident, critical illness w/ cancer benefits, short-term disability, behavioral health, term life, and identity theft.Weekly pay via direct depositYour new role as a cabinet maker:Transfer dimensions to marine construction materials using tape measure, square and marking/layout tools & devices of all types.Operate stationary power tools, hand power tools and hand tools to cut, form and finish materials to yacht quality standards.Make accurate cuts of wood and other materials using table and chop saws and other related power tools.Excellent working knowledge of most woodworking joints in the marine industry, such as scarf, sill splice, lap, finger and dovetail.Layout, cut and assemble components, such as furniture, cabinets, decks, trim, handrails, cap rails, doors, paneling, boxes and other marine related joinery work.Ability to apply caulking compounds, epoxies, cements, screws and fasteners using appropriate material choices to specified or otherwise correct lengthsWhat you need as a cabinet maker:Knowledge, operation, and set-up of tape measure, square, hand saw, hand plane, table saw, and chop saw, planer, joiner, band saw, shaper, surface sander, router, vacuum pumps, and inverted router.5 years cabinetry work experience desired with boatbuilding/repair experience a plus.Must have a complete understanding of marine grade types of hardwoods and plywood for each application; as well as types of glue to use under assembly for the intended application.Your Career Partner:Veteran-founded and family-owned, The Reserves Network specializes in connecting exceptional talent with rewarding opportunities.
