Cable Technician
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Cable Technician in the managed services industry, based in Miramar, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing cable infrastructure, testing newly installed cables, and troubleshooting issues with the cable network. Responsibilities: • Conduct installation, maintenance, and repair of cable infrastructure • Test newly installed or relocated cables based on company specifications • Troubleshoot issues with the cable network and implement effective solutions • Install cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct • Perform maintenance on existing cabling systems and remove redundant cabling • Install various technology devices including televisions, routers, and internet devices • Repair cable poles and towers while adhering to safety regulations • Ensure all cables are neatly tied and bundled in accordance with safety regulations • Handle residential and commercial cable systems including ethernet, fiber, coaxial, Wi-Fi • Complete necessary paperwork such as timesheets, checklists, vehicle inspection reports, and service orders Requirements • Applicant must have a thorough understanding of Broadband technology. • Proficiency in working with Data Networks is required. • Experience in Cable Installation is a must. • Knowledge of Cabling is necessary. • Familiarity with Coax Cable is essential. • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. • Excellent communication and customer service skills. • Ability to work independently and in a team. • High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification. • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. • Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments. • Must adhere to safety procedures and guidelines. • Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required. • Ability to lift heavy equipment and climb ladders.
