Description We are searching for a capable Cable Technician to join our client's team in Salt Lake City, Utah. As a Cable Technician, you will be involved in a variety of tasks including server infrastructure setup, low voltage cabling, and cable installation. This role also involves extensive travel and working in high-ceiling environments. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Installation of wiring and nodes during remodeling or building out projects • Participation in setting up data centers and offices • Conducting rack and stack server builds • Utilizing skills in CAT5 and CAT6 cabling • Managing access control and video surveillance systems • Working with fiber technology and punching down to comm rooms to switches; experience terminating fiber • Ensuring accurate server installations • Working at heights above 6 feet using a ladder or lift • Traveling extensively for on-site installations and maintenance, with expenses reimbursed. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Cable Technician or in a similar role. • Expertise in cable installation is a must. • Proficiency in working with fiber optic cables. • Demonstrated experience with CAT5 and CAT6 cabling. • Familiarity with server infrastructure is required. • Ability to handle low voltage cabling tasks. • Experience with server installations is essential. • Knowledge of video surveillance systems and related cabling is needed.
