Cable Technician I

GCyber is seeking a Cable Technician I, to support a high profile DISA customer. As a Cable Technician I, you will support and maintain the telecommunications and network infrastructure within a secure DoD environment.
As a Cable Technician I, you will:
+ Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic and CAT6 cabling systems to ensure robust network performance.
+ Utilize network cabling test equipment to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues efficiently.
+ Adhere to BICSI standards and safety regulations in all cabling activities.
+ Collaborate with IT teams to support network upgrades, troubleshooting, and infrastructure maintenance.
+ Organize, label, and document cabling infrastructure to ensure compliance and efficiency.
+ Conduct routine maintenance checks and respond to trouble calls, providing timely and effective solutions to maintain uninterrupted network services.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
+ Active DoD Secret security clearance
+ Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
+ 3+ years of related telecommunications experience
+ 3+ years of experience working as a Cable Technician within the DoD environment
+ Related certifications for Fiber Optic Cable and CAT6 Cable installation.
