The WWDE CAD team is seeking a CAD Engineer to complement our team. This individual will be responsible for creating both detailed and high-level drawings of warehouse design, material handling equipment, work areas, and fulfillment center storage solutions based on current templates, as well as design support for future templates. Drawings will require a high level of detail in both plan views as well as corresponding elevation views.
In this role you will:
- Work with ambiguous direction to create deliverables that standardize work spaces and designs across a large network of fulfillment operations
- Innovate with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems including robotics and mechatronics across 100+ new fulfillment and logistics centers that are being built each year.
- Collaboration with internal teams to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions in very short periods of time.
- Manage multiple projects and tasks

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other STEM field
- 1 year of AutoCAD experience
- Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Revit and/or Factory Design Utilities, Navisworks Manage
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently or within a group, and work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication, documentation, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience in a fast-paced 2D or 3D design environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous direction.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and Factory Design Utilities
- Exposure to layouts that utilize material handling equipment.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $157,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
