Job Description
The CAD Designer will work alongside project and design engineers to develop and design pneumatic and liquid electromagnetic solenoid valves. This role includes making engineering changes and updating engineering databases. The company is currently experiencing a high volume of work, which has created a backlog preventing engineers from starting new projects. A significant portion of the work involves converting SolidEdge designs.
ResponsibilitiesAttend regular development meetingsIncorporate feedback into 3D model designsMake revisions to models as requestedRun simulations and stress tests on all 3D models before prototypingKeep up to date on all modern advancements in material and software technologiesUtilize large databases of material property information to best select materials for modelingEssential SkillsProficiency in SolidWorksProficiency in Solid EdgeAt least one year of product design experience, preferably with plasticsAdditional Skills & QualificationsEngineering Certificate or Associate's degree in CADExperience with plasticsWork Environment
The role will start as a 3-month contract with the possibility of extension based on workload and business needs. The CAD Designer will report to the VP of Engineering and work alongside other CAD engineers. The position requires working onsite from 8 AM to 5 PM. The company specializes in the design and manufacture of pneumatic and fluid control valves, valve systems, and customized products for various industries, including medical, analytical, factory automation, test and measurement, and process control.
