Job Summary

KBR is seeking a highly motivated self-starter, adaptable to a faced-paced exciting environment as a CAD designer, to support sustainment engineering efforts of the Air Force.

Job Description

This position will support our Tinker AFB customers by resolving mechanical sustainment issues. Under direct supervision, independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications. With additional experience within one functional area, assists in the design of larger and more complex assignments which involve conventional types of plans, investigations, and surveys with relatively few complex features for which there are precedents.

Job tasks may include:

Creating models and drawings in SolidWorks using AMSE Y14 standardsApplies knowledge of design principles as well as technical CAD expertise for designing, modeling, and drafting simple to complex systems.Utilizes large assembly techniques and other CAD “Best Practice” methods within SolidWorks suite of software apps (including PDM and Model Based Definition) to develop robust and sustainable models and drawings of the designed system(s)Writing and reviewing of technical documentation for installation, testing, or summary reports for engineering deliverablesWorking in lab space for fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products

Required Education/Experience

This position requires an associate degree in a technical field and four (4) or more years of professional experience with CAD systems.Two (2) additional years of professional experience in lieu of an associate degree is acceptable.Proficient in SolidWorksCandidate must have good written and oral communication skills.U.S. CitizenMust have the ability to obtain a clearance
