Job Title: Plant Layout/CAD Specialist Job Description As a Plant Layout/CAD Specialist, you will utilize CAD software to generate accurate 2D and 3D drawings and models in accordance with project specifications and design requirements. You will collaborate with engineering teams to translate design concepts into technical drawings, revise and update existing drawings, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will participate in design reviews, maintain organized records of all CAD drawings, and produce technical documents related to layout changes within the building layout. Responsibilities + Use CAD software to generate accurate 2D and 3D drawings and models. + Collaborate with engineering teams to translate design concepts into technical drawings and models. + Revise and update existing drawings to incorporate design changes and improvements. + Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in all CAD designs. + Participate in design reviews to optimize design processes and improve efficiency. + Maintain organized records of all CAD drawings and models, ensuring version control and accessibility. + Prepare layouts, plans, installation/construction drawings, and estimates for configuration of equipment and architecture within the manufacturing shop. + Produce technical documents such as progress reports, status reports, and change impact analysis. + Manage and coordinate building layout with various teams during project planning, launch, and execution. + Coordinate with vendors in preparing Statements of Work for construction projects. + Coordinate review of bid packets from contractors for construction projects. + Coordinate and manage contractors during construction/layout changes. + Review and inspect 'as built' drawings and conditions with building projects, updating layouts based on field measurements and verifications. + Create detailed project plans based on milestones and timelines from project scope. Essential Skills + High School Diploma or GED + Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, CATIA, or SolidWorks. + Good knowledge and understanding of building layout principles. + Detail-oriented with a meticulous approach to work and a commitment to accuracy. + Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field, or equivalent experience. + Proven experience as a Plant Layout/CAD Specialist or similar role, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes or construction projects. + Knowledge of automotive design principles and manufacturing processes is highly desirable. + Knowledge of plant layout in automotive manufacturing is highly desirable. + Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment. + Ability to escalate concerns or project delays as needed to ensure timely project progress and completion. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $99000.00 - $116800.00/yr. will be eligible for benefits once the candidate accepts offer given from client- havent had any concerns in the past Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Huntsville,AL.
