Experienced Piping and Structural Designer/Drafter We are seeking a skilled Piping and Structural Designer/Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will work from engineers' sketched flow sheets and P&IDs to design and draw all details of seawater, brackish water, and reverse osmosis systems. Responsibilities include designing various reverse osmosis plant layouts in 3D and transferring information to 2D sketches. Key Responsibilities: + Produce designs for equipment/piping, piping tie-ins, equipment arrangement drawings, bill of materials (BOM), piping supports, steel tanks, access walkways, and other fabricated items around the desalination plant. + Utilize piping design skills and the ability to visualize items within a 3D space to ensure no interference upon installation. + Collaborate with Project Managers to gather measurement data from existing water/reverse osmosis equipment. + Produce drawings using drafting techniques outlined in our department SPO. + Create designs from general design concepts. + Solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form. + Produce complete Bills of Material for the drawings produced. Requirements: + Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or CAD discipline preferred. + 3-5 years of professional work experience highly preferred. + Relevant experience in the water treatment industry, including reverse-osmosis system design; sea water reverse osmosis (SWRO) experience highly preferred. + Mechanical design experience with various piping materials including PVC, stainless steel, and FRP. Experience with the design of mechanical support systems for piping, valves, pumps, and instrumentation is preferred. + Proficiency in Autodesk Plant 3D is required and will be tested. + Strong piping design skills. + Ability to work effectively in a team environment. + Skilled in Autodesk Plant 3D, Autodesk Vault, Autodesk AutoCAD, and general PC usage. + Working knowledge of Microsoft Projects is a plus.
