CAD Drafter

Job Description: The Drafter is responsible for creating detailed working diagrams of machinery and mechanical devices, including dimensions, fastening methods, and other engineering information. This role involves generating drawings for facilities, assemblies, and parts as needed by a team of hardware engineers. Many drawings will be new revisions of existing drawings, and some will be for new designs, all of which will be in collaboration with the hardware engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies/tools, and controls using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment.Consult with engineers and other professionals to understand the functionality and structure of mechanical devices or systems.Use CAD software to create technical drawings and models.Add structural details to architectural plans from knowledge of building techniques.Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures for new products.Work with manufacturers and builders to ensure technical designs are feasible and can be implemented correctly.Revise drawings and plans as per the changes and feedback from engineers or clients.Document and maintain technical files for reference and future use.

Requirements:

Proven experience with SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM, and AutoCAD.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of GD&T and the ability to implement ASME Y14.5 drawing standards as well as company-specific design standards.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00
