ENTRY LEVEL CAD DRAFTER OPENINGS
Job Description
We are looking for a CAD Drafter to join our team. You will work closely with the Project Manager to review engineering design packages, including drawings, BOM, and procedures. You will perform basic to intermediate engineering designs and single line diagrams, survey and document existing utility field conditions, and contribute to design modifications to improve project quality and process improvements. This role involves both internal and external communication in a team environment.
Responsibilities
+ Work with Project Manager to review engineering design packages including drawings, BOM, and procedures.
+ Perform basic to intermediate engineering designs and single line diagrams.
+ Survey and document existing utility field conditions using GPS and conventional survey methods.
+ Contribute to and implement design modifications to improve project quality and process improvements.
+ Communicate internally and with external stakeholders.
+ Collaborate in a team environment.
Essential Skills
+ Proficient in AutoCAD
+ Experience in drafting and design
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office
+ Ability and willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions around energized equipment
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associates or Diploma in CAD or equivalent is preferred
+ Certification in Drafting is a plus
+ Experience with MicroStation
Work Environment
This is an in-office role working alongside experienced Designers and Project Managers. The position may require fielding of distribution poles. A 2-week training at the site of the Utility will provide hands-on experience.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
