Job Title: Drafter\n

Summary: Exercises discretion and judgment, creates model drawings and detailed construction drawings
for homes. Performs calculations and analysis to support designs by performing the following duties.\n

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
\u2022 Creates designs from rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received
from Sales and customers.
\u2022 Drafts detailed construction drawings and installations such as walls, roofs, floors, plumbing, water,
electrical, cabinets, gas lines, duct prints, foundations elevations, etc.
\u2022 Uses computer-assisted design (CAD) equipment and software to create detailed drawings.
\u2022 Drafts detailed construction drawings of houses and installations such as walls, roofs, floors,
plumbing, potable water, electrical, cabinets, gas lines, duct prints, pier blocking, elevations, etc.
\u2022 Drafts limited approvals and submits them to sales and third-party agencies.
\u2022 Must be familiar with commercial & residential building codes in the US.
\u2022 Confers with Production and Quality Control staff to resolve design details or problems.
\u2022 Lays out, redesigns, and modifies home arrangement, and interconnections components and
systems.
\u2022 Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials,
and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
\u2022 Shows dimensions, material to be used, and other information necessary to make detailed drawings
clear and complete.
\u2022 Generates calculations for the analysis of selected designs using approved software.
\u2022 Submits drawings to third-party agencies for approval.
\u2022 Other duties may be assigned.
\u2022 Must be familiar with commercial & residential building codes in the US.\n

Education and\/or Experience:
Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school which includes advanced training in
AutoCAD or two to five years' work experience using the AutoCAD software; or an equivalent
combination of education and training.\n

Qualifications:
\u2022 AutoCAD software experience using 2015 or higher
\u2022 Microsoft Office Suite
\u2022 Team Player
\u2022 Quick Learner
