Job Title: CAD Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CAD Manager with strong experience in AutoCAD and MicroStation, particularly in transportation projects. The ideal candidate will have over five years of relevant experience and be capable of leading a team to maintain and implement quality standards.

ResponsibilitiesProvide AutoCAD and MicroStation support for deliverables on multidisciplinary engineering projects.Create, implement, and maintain client and company standards.Collaborate with the Survey, Transportation, Civil, and Structural teams.Manage and lead the CAD team based in Edison, NJ.Conduct quality control reviews of CAD work to ensure compliance with client standards.Manage various CAD tasks with varying deadlines.Meet with IT staff, engineers, project managers, designers, and drafters to develop strategies to streamline workflow processes.Provide technical direction, training, and support to CAD and engineering staff.Troubleshoot technical issues related to CAD software.Assist in implementing company and client quality control procedures.Coordinate with other CAD Managers in other companies or clients to resolve CAD-related issues.Essential SkillsExpert level in AutoCAD and MicroStation (MicroStation is more important).Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation projects.Ability to lead a team and drive process improvements.Expertise with Bentley and/or Autodesk software for transportation projects.Minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership role.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate degree in engineering technology, drafting, computer science or related discipline is preferred.Specific education involving structures or structural detailing experience is desirable.Minimum of 8 years of experience utilizing Bentley and/or Autodesk software for transportation projects.Expertise with InRoads/Open Roads Designer, Geopak, and Civil 3D is preferred.Knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, or BIM 360 is preferred.Work Environment

The position is based in Edison, NJ, with a hybrid work schedule of 2 days in the office (usually Tuesday and Wednesday) and 3 days working from home. The CAD team will also be based out of this office. The CAD Manager will occasionally travel to the NYC office to meet with teams, typically once a month. The work environment is highly collaborative, working closely with the Structural, Civil, Survey, and Transportation teams. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
