Kimley-Horn is looking for an experienced CAD Operator to join our Roadway team in Austin North, Texas, (TX)!

Responsibilities The candidate will develop concepts as well as work on preliminary engineering and final design for projectsThis would include developing geometric alignments, profiles, surface modeling, cross sections, grading design, drainage, superelevation, construction details, work zone traffic control, erosion control, and signing and striping plansThis person will develop technical drawings and plans using Microstation and OpenRoadsManage support documentation for sheet indexes, quantity tables, and cost estimatesManage TxDOT CAD standardsMake and quality check drawings and plans of substantial complexity and may perform some multifaceted calculationsHas knowledge of engineering principles and suggests design changesMaintain good file management per Kimley-Horn's file structure and naming conventionsCoordinates work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred)3+ years of relevant experienceKnowledge and proficiency in Bentley products (including Microstation, OpenRoads, GeoPak, and ProjectWise) preferredDetail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starterStrong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learnAbility to work independently and with a team Why Kimley-Horn?
