Description
CAD/CNC Programmer Position Summary:
Convert Customer drawings, templates, DXF files and blue prints into programs to produce parts according to customer specifications and to nest these parts to obtain maximum material and machine utilization.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
+ From customer blue print, drawing, template, and DXF files, produce programs to process parts to customer specifications.
+ Calculating the flat layout of formed view drawings.
+ Produce parts nests to obtain maximum material and machine utilization.
+ Assist sales in quoting processing inquiries.
+ Establish and coordinate filing system for identification of specific part requirements.
+ Monitor and maintain parts programming software: update program files, backup system, etc.
+ Quality Responsibility: Responsible for providing error-free work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
To qualify for consideration an applicant should possess the following skills. Possession of these skills is a preferred for employment.
Working knowledge of flame cutting, plasma cutting, laser cutting, press brake forming, and plasma punch operation. Experience with Excel and Word processing preferred.
Completed course in AutoCad and blue print reading preferred.
