Abacus Technology is seeking a CAD Specialist to develop and maintain drawings and schematics for Picatinny Arsenal.  This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities Create and update drawings of all information systems circuits, lines, and systems into the Government’s CAD and CAM programs. Maintain a web-based information database composed of complex maps, cable/fiber configurations, digital and hard copy sketches, diagrams, drawings, photographs, databases, and tables configured in a database management system. Make all necessary and applicable changes and updates to the site cable plant drawings as they occur. Ensure all required cable records are established and verified from the point of demarcation through the customer termination point. Keep existing cable documentation up to date and identify any unserviceable infrastructure. Validate all existing drawings to ensure the drawings are accurate and up to date. Ensure the information includes all communications closets, switches, routers, rack elevations, multiplexers, manholes, telephone poles, pedestals, all cross-connects (jumpers) and the customer telephone number. Provide CAD-CAM computer, software, printer, and associated supplies for Contractor personnel. Update and maintain all OSP/ISP and remote communications facilities final drawings for all areas in the CAD-CAM system. Maintain an electronic copy of Plant-in-Place drawing library and update the related TMS asset management database. Qualifications

4+ years experience in a CAD role.  Must be an AutoDesk Certified Professional in AutoCAD.  Experience with drawing support software and supporting IT/telecommunications cable plant infrastructure operating environment.  Must be able to follow circuit paths, circuit diagrams, schematic cable/fiber runs, engineering drawings, identify circuit components, and document all findings.  Able to review and assess site cable plant and equipment layout drawings for all locations.  Proficient with MS Office or Microsoft 365 and Visio 2013.  Must be detail oriented and maintain documentation related to projects.  Able to work independently or as part of a team and communicate efficiently with all levels of an organization.  Must be a US Citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
