Job Summary
Due to growth of the business, additional bulk material storage and piping must be planned for and the plant’s existing bulk raw material storage to be optimized. Re-apportioning current raw material bulk tanks must be reviewed and adjusted based on daily volume use, material lead time, and desired capacity. Drawings of existing connections will guide tank availability and help identify any additional project(s) needed to support efficient use of existing bulk tanks and future bulk tanks. There is a lot of excess Piping that needs to be mapped and decisions made on removing or reallocating the piping.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Author 2-D AutoCAD drawings (enhanced PFD’s) for the following: Tanks and associated piping Offload Piping and controls Bulk tanks configuration Create Enhanced Process Flow Diagrams: Vessel capacity, pipe/pump size, level/temperature/pressure transmitters, valves, heater/exchangers, insulation, etc Assist other projects as defined during the internship period Other duties as assignedRequired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2-D drawingsEducation and Experience:
Required: Junior or Senior in an accredited four-year institution Pursuing an Engineering degree (Mechanical, Chemical) Proficiency in AutoCAD 2-D drawings Preferred: Prior internship experience
