Job Title: CAD Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Technician to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing computer-generated engineering drawings, ensuring complete and accurate work, and collaborating with engineers on a variety of projects.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare drawings from sketches, general engineering and design information, verbal instructions, and notes using AutoCAD.Prepare computer-generated engineering drawings according to established standards and procedures.Review all work to ensure complete and accurate drawings are provided to engineers.Convert verbal and written information into computer-generated drawings.Operate a plotter to transfer developed drawings to an appropriate medium.Work independently, efficiently, and manage deadlines.Assist with a wide range of projects and work with multiple project engineers.Review final drawings for completeness and accuracy.Communicate effectively with team members.Essential SkillsMinimum 3 years of experience as a CAD Technician using AutoCAD with an emphasis in civil type drawings.Proficient with AutoCAD.Ability to read and understand construction drawings.Ability to make minor mathematical calculations.Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.Strong communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Word.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or technical school training.Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.Knowledge of GIS software is preferred.Experience with civil, mechanical, water & wastewater, water treatment, and water supply drafting.Ability to work on a contract-to-hire basis.Work Environment

This position is based in an office environment within a growing engineering firm of about 25 employees. We offer a possible flexible schedule and a family-like atmosphere where team members work closely together. Once the position goes permanent, it includes excellent insurance benefits, lots of PTO, and a flexible schedule.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00
