Job Title: CAD TechnicianJob Description This individual will be responsible for creating detailed drawings of material handling equipment, work areas, and material handling components based on current examples as well as providing design support for future initiatives. Drawings will require a high level of detail in both plan views as well as corresponding elevation views in certain cases. A successful candidate will be a self-starter, able to work with minimal direction, and capable of creating drawing sets that will standardize workspaces and designs across a large network of fulfillment operations. Responsibilities + Create detailed drawings of material handling equipment and work areas. + Provide design support for future initiatives. + Produce high-detail drawings in both plan and elevation views. + Work independently with minimal direction to standardize workspaces and designs. + Collaborate with the team to take design concepts and create models. Essential Skills + Minimum 5 years of experience operating CAD with the ability to work and manage layers. + Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Drafting and Design. + Minimum of 1 year of experience drawing in a warehouse or fulfillment center environment. + Basic knowledge of material handling and storage systems. + Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, BIM, Navisworks, and Adobe. + Proficiency in Microsoft Suite. + Strong communication skills for various audiences. + Document management skills. + Organizational skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree. + Design and layout experience. + Ability to lead small groups. Work Environment The work environment involves collaboration with solutions-level engineers, especially in technical capacities. The role requires working within a technical and detail-oriented setting, ensuring the quality of work and meeting target deadlines. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.60 - $35.60 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
