CAD Technician II
Apply Description

      

A CAD Technician II performs  advanced computer aided design (CAD) drafting. Has the ability to take a product   from concept to production, including working with PM team for specifications,   initial design, testing, package design, production documentation. A CAD Technician   II communicates with a team to aid in the completion of projects. A CAD Support Technician II can program all   necessary equipment with requires CAD files.  The CAD Technician II works under the  direction of the Director of Operations.  


      

This   list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. 

Take a product, either   new or custom request, from concept to production Work with PM team to create a list product specificationsCreate initial CAD design for reviewCreate test report and do product testingCreate product packaging plan and documentationCreate all necessary documents for  production teamWork   with vendors on new parts for new and existing productsAssist Manufacturing Engineer with cost downs and efficiency projects Complete  special projects as assigned

Basic mathematical skills and reasoningKnowledge of design programs like SolidWorks and AutoCADKnowledge of ExcelAchieves high percent of task target dates.Willing to assist others when his/her tasks are complete.Able to handle multiple projectsAble to follow tasks to completion in a timely manner without sacrificing quality
