Apply Description  A CAD Technician II performs advanced computer aided design (CAD) drafting. Has the ability to take a product from concept to production, including working with PM team for specifications, initial design, testing, package design, production documentation. A CAD Technician II communicates with a team to aid in the completion of projects. A CAD Support Technician II can program all necessary equipment with requires CAD files.  The CAD Technician II works under the direction of the Director of Operations.

Take a product, either new or custom request, from concept to production Work with PM team to create a list product specificationsCreate initial CAD design for reviewCreate test report and do product testingCreate product packaging plan and documentationCreate all necessary documents for production teamWork with vendors on new parts for new and existing productsAssist Manufacturing Engineer with cost downs and efficiency projects Complete special projects as assigned Requirements

    

Experience:

5+ years of Solid Works experience5+ years of experience designing commercial fitness equipmentHave a basic knowledge of AutoCADPrevious use of Excel and  Microsoft suite Experience programming  Hypertherm plasma table files preferredExperience programming CNC router tables preferred

  

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required.Degree in Mechanical Design or Mechanical Engineering or related degree preferredOr equivalent combination of education and experience
