Description

Performs cash transactions as requested by casino patrons, to include: redemption of gaming chips, tickets, cashing of checks, credit card advances.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Verifies and balances drawer funds at beginning and end of shift. Safeguards said funds.

Exchanges gaming chips and slot tickets for guests in exchange for cash.

Assists patrons in requests for assistance, services, and information in a courteous, respectful manner.

Maintains assigned window in a neat, organized, and professional manner.

Processes credit card advances, valid personal/payroll checks, traveler checks for cash.

Assists patron in credit application completion and marker issuance/payment.

Maintains knowledge of property information, including memorabilia.

Enrolls guests into the Players Club.

Maintains accurate player tracking information.

Assists with all casino promotions and special events.

Completes all club transactions including enrollment, redemptions, tracking, card creation, etc.

Assists guest with tickets to events; distribute will call as needed.

Provides superior guest service to all guests.

Issues redemptions to guests cashing in points.

Verifies contents and accepts responsibility of the bank.

Answers questions concerning upcoming entertainment at Hard Rock Live.

Operates ticket reservation system and other in-house computer based systems used in the area.

Reports any system issues to the supervisor.

Promotes outstanding guest relations and treats every guest with courtesy and kindness.

Removes, records, and turns in amount of cash in register at end of shift, with necessary paperwork.

Obtains tickers as requested, computer bills, gives proper change and/or obtains signatures as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required

High School diploma general education (GED).

Previous casino cage, credit, and/or players club experience preferred.

Previous cash handling experience required.

Must know and comply with requirements of Title 31 Bank Secrecy Act as pertains to Credit/Cage transactions.

Must possess basic computer skills and knowledgeable with casino computer systems, Microsoft applications, and timekeeping programs.

Data entry skills preferred.

Must have basic mathematical skills. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.

A Mississippi Gaming Commission work permit is required for this position.

Must possess excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills.

Must be very detailed oriented.

Must project a professional and positive image.

Must have a high level of energy

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Ability to deal with people in a manner that shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism.

Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all Hard Rockers and guests.

Ability to understand and promulgate written memos, instructions, regulations.

Excellent telephone skills required.

Training

All employees are required to complete mandatory compliance training within thirty (30) days of hire date, then annually thereafter. Training marked with an asterisk below must be completed prior to reporting to their respective work area. The below courses are required for this position:
