The location in Calhoun, TN is seeking talent to fill the position of Calhoun Tissue Production Manager.
Focus – The Manager does the following in a safe working manner:
Models expected company behaviors and follows the company’s safety, environment, and production guidelines and policies Provides direction and coaches area superintendents (TM and Converting) to achieve KPI’s in Safety, Environment, quality and production.

Tissue Production Manager Duties and Responsibilities
Safety Conducts safety investigations and shares and implements results Participates in monthly safety meetings Strategy Leads the strategic plan of the TM and Converting plant (safety, environment, production, and cost) Communicates plan, with detailed and specific actions to achieve strategic outcomes Initiatives Manages the planning, development, and execution of initiatives Develops new ideas for improvement initiatives Quality Ensures that the GMPs are followed Coaches Superintendent and Shift Supervisors adhere to the GMPs Coordinates product trials and implements product specification changes accordingly Capital management Develops ideas for value creation and asset maintenance projects Prioritizes capital projects and provides project leadership to ensure successful completion Provides info for documentation and submission of AR projects Cost Management Participates in development of annual budget Tracks and controls costs against budget Develops ideas to beat budget and costs Manages stores inventory People development Manages on-call list Performs annual performance and personal development plan reviews for direct reports Develops annual goals for the TM and Converting team Leads hiring process for salaried TM and Converting employees Regularly reviews and coaches direct employees (Superintendents, Process Engineers, etc.) Business development (SKU development) Develops recipes and strategies of new products Investigates, pilots, and approves their implementation Disciplinary action Performs disciplinary actions when escalated by superintendent and HR manager. Escalates serious disciplinary action to General Manager Communication Develops and creates content for monthly crew meetings Shares Safety information/policies Creates and distributes information to upper management and outside groups Monthly report Weekly report Budget variance reports- cost and production Weekly Tissue group meeting Monthly tissue group meeting
Knowledge and experience
10-15 years in a progressively responsible position in production management with experience in tissue manufacturing preferred.
You will be required to successfully complete a selection process that could include interviews, an employment background check, a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen, reference verifications, aptitude tests (for some positions), and a fitness-for-duty test (for some positions).
