Calibration Engineer II

Job Summary:
The Calibration Engineer II will be responsible for developing powertrain calibrations for future automotive products. Other responsibilities include supporting the design and development of powertrain hardware, controls software, and other vehicle systems. The Calibration Engineer II will perform independent project tasks and collaborate with the team and customers. This position will be located in Allen Park, MI.

As a Calibration Engineer II, you will:Carry out dynamometer and/or vehicle-based calibration developmentAnalyze test results, review findings and develop actions to provide solutions for issuesConduct in-vehicle calibration evaluations and provide thorough powertrain function assessmentsPerform hot climate, cold climate, and high-altitude development testing to meet customer objectivesCalibrate all aspects of powertrain function, including core engine and transmission control features, electronic throttle control and reliability monitor, OBDII, tailpipe and evaporative emissions and auxiliary subsystemsProvide positive technical contributions in a project team environmentMinimum qualifications to be considered:Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar field Two (2) years of powertrain calibration experience at an OEM or T1 supplierSimilar academic or research experience may be consideredExperience using commercially available calibration tool software (e.g., ETAS INCA, ATI VISION)Able to read and interpret controls algorithms presented in MATLAB Simulink or C-based software documentationStrong computer skills including Microsoft OfficeSolid knowledge of powertrain system operating principalsUnderstanding of common powertrain electronic and electromechanical sensors and actuatorsGood intrapersonal, verbal and written communication skills
