Job Description
The Calibration Equipment Technician I will be responsible for maintaining electronic and hard copy equipment files, performing equipment Calibrations, Preventive Maintenance and repairs for Manufacturing, Quality and R&D departments. They must have the ability to follow applicable Calibration and Maintenance procedures and troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic and mechanical equipment.
+ Possess a functional understanding of the installation, set-up and operation of manufacturing, lab and test equipment.
+ Has the ability to utilize available resources to acquire equipment information for technical information and for repair purposes.
+ Understands and executes engineering test protocols and procedures.
+ Maintain spare parts inventory.
+ Act as liaison with outside contractors and vendors for equipment services, repair and contracted maintenance.
+ Respond to equipment and environmental alarms during off hours when required.
+ Must be able to take direction from multiple individuals, multi-task and prioritize workload.
+ Candidate will be required to respond to an on-call schedule.
+ The shift for this position is Tuesday through Saturday 10:00PM - 7:00AM EST.
Qualifications
+ High School Diploma. Technical School preferred
+ 1-3 years’ experience in equipment repair (electrical / mechanical / pneumatic)
+ Using a database and report functions
+ MS Excel and MS Word proficiency
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
+ Familiar with GDP
