Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Calibration Technician.
The hours for this role are 2pm - 10pm
The hourly rate for this position is $27.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:The Calibration Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of measuring instruments, fixtures, and equipment to ensure they are calibrated accurately per acceptance criteria and provide accurate measurement.
• Inspect measuring instruments, fixtures, and equipment with a CMM or other manual measuring techniques per acceptance criteria.
• Partner with operations and 3rd parties to monitor all instruments and equipment requiring calibration and ensure timely collection and return of items to the floor.
• Program automated inspection equipment (i.e. CMM, vision systems, etc.) based on needs of technical drawings.
• Interpret advanced blueprints, assembly drawings, angularity, profile, various datum’s (Vectors) and results from advanced inspection and measuring technique (CMM, Keyence, FARO arm) per acceptance criteria.
• Document inspection findings, generate non-conformance reports, and initiate Fast Response as needed.
• Write visual work instructions and train operators and inspections on the automated inspection equipment.
• Complete 5S+ activities which includes but not limited to your working area.
• Complete regular training, facilitate training, maintain certifications, and perform additional Quality specific functions as necessary.
Basic Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Minimum 2 years of CMM programming experience
Preferred Qualifications
• 2+ years of CMM experience in the Aerospace industry
• CMM certification
Position Criteria
• Ability to design, write, and trouble shoot programs for automated inspection equipment
• Advanced knowledge of scanning & programming from solid models Mitutoyo, MCOSMOS
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications, GD&T, and use measuring equipment including calipers, measuring scale, pi tape, gage R and R, material analysis processing, etc.
• Ability to work with MFGPro to process parts systematically and WISPER for defective material reports (DMR).
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, such as Office and Excel.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute percentages, area, circumference, and volume; draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Attention to detail and be able to follow instructions.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures and equipment, manufacturing methods, routings, and standards.
• Knowledge of inspection plans, first piece layout, first article inspection, Mill Test Certification, and Certificate of Conformity (COC)

Work Conditions
• Manufacturing environment which requires proper personal protection equipment (PPE).
• Inspector must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs and up to 50lbs in any given day, constantly handling parts in and out of the workstation (occasionally reaching overhead).
• The job could require standing on your feet anywhere from 8-10 hours a day.
• Will require focus visual inspection from proximity, without magnification.
