Calibration Technician Job Description Create and execute procedures and techniques for the calibration of measurement and test equipment (M&TE) by applying knowledge of measurement science, mathematics, physics, and electronics. Maintain calibration records and process documentation using Microsoft Excel and the Quality Management System (QMS). Responsibilities + Develop and implement calibration procedures for various measurement and test equipment. + Utilize knowledge of measurement science, mathematics, physics, and electronics in the calibration process. + Calibrate equipment such as mics, cals, torque wrenches, and pin gauges using blueprints. + Maintain accurate calibration records and process documentation using Microsoft Excel and QMS. + Perform instrument testing and troubleshooting as needed. Essential Skills + Metrology + Calibration + Instrument testing + Microsoft Excel + Blueprint reading + Mechanically inclined + CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operation + Instrumentation + Troubleshooting Additional Skills & Qualifications + Able to lift 50lbs + Completed Vo-Tech Degree, Associates Degree, or equivalent Military Training Certificate with a concentration on the calibration of instruments/Metrology + Less than one year of work experience in the calibration of instruments/Metrology OR + 1 year to less than 3 years of work experience in the calibration of instruments/Metrology OR + Minimum 3 years work experience in the calibration of instruments/Metrology OR + High School/GED and 4 years to less than 5 years of work experience in the calibration of instruments/Metrology Work Environment Large manufacturing environment that is clean and open with a bench setting. Flexible shift times are available depending on personal needs, with start times for the 1st shift ranging from 4-7am. Employees can accrue up to 3 weeks of PTO in their first year, 40 hours of sick time, 8 paid holidays, and an additional 24 hours of floating holidays.
