Job Title: Calibre Application Engineering Consultant [MULTIPLE POSITIONS]

Job Location: Plano, TX location and various unanticipated sites throughout the U.S.

Job Type: Full Time

Duties: Drive adoption of Calibre family of software products by executing both pre-sale and post-sale technical support activities. Assess how company products meet customer needs on a range of process nodes down to 7nm/2nm process technology. Prepare product specifications for the development and installation of customized applications in the area of physical design and verification. Develop and deliver software demonstrations and technical presentations leveraging the expertise in physical verification flows in DRC, LVS, DFM and PERC. Present software solutions at conferences, and technical forums to increase awareness of products and generate leads. Perform benchmark evaluations for customers. Work with area sales management, account teams and customers to understand business opportunities. Contribute to technical sales plans, communicate with peers, and field technical management on progress and account status. Provide pre-sales technical support in sales presentations and product demonstrations. Work with marketing and product managers to define new products and provide insight from the field. Establish strategies to broaden target applications for software products.

Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field and 60 months of experience in the job offered or in an Application Engineering related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:

1. Working with at least one of the industry standard physical verification platforms: Calibre, Synopsys ICV, or Cadence Pegasus.

2. Working with Advanced (20nm or smaller) process node-based physical verification checking applications

3. Working with RC parasitic extraction and advanced parameters generation for sign-off and simulation flows.

4. Performing Calibre integration inside 3rd party design environment such as Cadence Virtuoso, Innovus, Synopsys Laker, or ICC2.

5. Using Calibre RealTime and RVE interface technologies.

6. Working with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) technical sales process

7. Working with Unix or Linux OS platforms

8. Programming in TCL, C, C++, or Python

Telecommuting may be permissible pursuant to company policy. 20-30% Domestic and International Travel Required.
