Call Center Representative
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for assisting patients and healthcare providers by managing orders for medications, pharmacy services, and handling a range of non-clinical inquiries. You will play a vital part in ensuring a smooth experience for patients, physicians, and our pharmacy team. Key Responsibilities: + Outbound Calls: Contact patients or physician’s offices regarding medication orders, pharmacy services, and other non-clinical inquiries. + Data Management: Add or update insurance and pharmaceutical information in patient records, or collect necessary insurance details and alert the relevant teams for updates. + Activity Tracking: Create patient activity reminders for follow-ups, transactions, recording inquiries, complaints, comments, and actions taken, such as coordinating patient discharge services or contacting a patient’s doctor. + Client & Pharma-Specific Tasks: Complete client-specific tasks to ensure the needs and expectations of our customers are met, providing excellent service every time. + Collaborative Support: Work closely with disease-focused teams to deliver top-tier customer service. + Pharmacist Coordination: Connect patients with pharmacists for counseling or clinical inquiries when required. + Special Handling: Complete additional duties, including drug shipment notifications and Adverse Drug Event reports. + Escalation Procedures: Escalate calls to clinicians, insurance verification teams, or other specialized teams when needed. + Special Projects & Cross-Training: Participate in special projects or programs, provide bilingual support as needed, and cross-train in other departments, including specialized teams and new patient/enrollment teams. Required Skills & Qualifications: + Customer Service Excellence: Strong communication and interpersonal skills for delivering exceptional service to patients and healthcare providers. + Call Center Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a call center environment is required. + Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools and handling customer service-related software. + Internet Access: Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection (100 mbps or more) and be able to hardwire the connection from the modem to your computer. + Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Preferred Skills & Qualifications: + Previous experience in the pharmacy or healthcare industry is a plus. + Bilingual skills are a bonus. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
