Call Customer Service Representative

Waste Control, a Waste Connections company is looking for a High Energy Customer Service Representative to join the team in Longview, Washington. Previous waste experience would be a huge plus! 

Schedule is Monday-Friday

Shift is 7:55 AM - 5:00 PM

Starting rate of pay is $21.62/hour

Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is an in-person position that requires attendance in a call center office setting.Work in conjunction with other departments to resolve customer disputes & demonstrate the ability to become proficient in the use of proprietary operational systems.Interact with new or existing customers, by phone and in person, to record information in the computer for customer service billing or product information.Chat with customers by phone and in person to activate, discontinue, or change services.Fill out contract forms, determine charges for service requested, collect deposits, prepare change of address records and issue discontinuance orders.Deliver services to customers in a manner that promotes goodwill.Interact with customers and Waste Connections employees to determine service requirements and resolve problems or complaints in a courteous manner.Work in a fast paced, cooperative, high call volume environment with high attention to detail, while interacting with customers over the phone and by email.Engage or assist with sales for new or additional services.Prorate customer accounts based on account service changes.Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry of the transfer station as a cashierResponsible for Balancing out a cash drawer.Weighing trucks in and out and calculating payments for customers.Track weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signatures.Ensuring that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.Work on your feet outside throughout your shiftProviding general upkeep of the Scale House.


 

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.Working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel & Outlook.High school diploma or equivalent preferred.2 years of customer service or call center experience preferred.Fast and accurate typing, in addition to 10-key skills are required.Excellent organization and communication skills.Ability to analyze and solve problems. Gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.General math skills required.Ability to stand throughout an 8-hour shift while cashieringAbility to work outside in all weather conditionsAbility to lift up to 20 pounds
