DAI, a global consulting firm based in the United States, is currently accepting applications from candidates for technical and managerial long- and short-term positions on the anticipated regional Pacific Economic Growth (PEG) Activity, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).  

Anticipated Program Background  

The anticipated goal of PEG is to: 1) support public financial management and domestic resource mobilization; 2) facilitate greater private investment and trade; and 3) support local small and medium enterprises and improve business resiliency. PEG seeks to work across the Pacific in Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji, Kiribati, Palau, Republic of Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Nauru, Samoa, Tonga, and Tuvalu.  

Professionals with five (5) or more years of experience in the following areas of expertise are sought for long- and short-term positions. Pacific nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.  

Deputy Chief of Party  

Director of Finance and Operations 

Public Financial Management Specialists, with experience in domestic resource mobilization (tax administration and policy), audit and oversight, planning, budget execution, public procurement, and accounting.   

Trade and Investment Facilitation Specialists 

Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Director  

Communications Manager 

Grants development and management 

USAID project finance, operations, human resources, and contract administration 

Qualifications 

Degree, from an accredited university, in a relevant or related field (such as economics, finance, international development, international relations). Advanced degree (master’s or higher) is preferred.  

Five (5) or more years of experience in area of expertise. 

Two (2) or more years of progressive management and leadership experience for managerial positions. 

Experience in Asia-Pacific preferred. 

Experience with international donor-funded programs. USAID experience a plus. 

Strong communication skills—both written and oral—in English.
