This Proposal Opportunity: 
Palladium seeks highly motivated and experienced individuals for the anticipated USAID/Nigeria Food Basket Activity. This 5-year activity will aim to strengthen food and agriculture systems in Nigeria and increase the competitiveness of Nigerian value chains and markets. To do so, the Food Basket Activity will work with the private sector, government, and other stakeholders to build the capacity of Nigerian agribusinesses, remove barriers to investment, and develop innovative financial products. Priority value chains will include maize, rice, and horticulture.

Palladium is seeking professionals for long and short-term assignments related to technical implementation, with experience in the following areas:

Value chain development (productivity, storage/processing, marketing, etc.)Market systems developmentClimate-smart agriculture and technologyAccess to finance, including for SMEs and agriculture-sector firmsCapital mobilization and investmentPrivate sector engagementFood safety, quality assurance, sanitary and phytosanitary measuresInclusive employmentEntrepreneurshipMarket AccessTrade FacilitationStrategic Communications

Key Competencies Required: 

A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study such as business or economics required, Master’s degree in relevant field preferred.At least seven years’ relevant experience, 10 years’ experience for senior positions; Prior experience in the implementation of similar sized USAID or other donor- supported programs in Nigeria highly desirable.Proven ability to develop and communicate a common vision among diverse partners and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.Evidence of strong communication skills, both interpersonal and written, to fulfil the diverse technical and managerial requirements of the contract.Fluency in English required
