Job Overview:
The CAM Training & Development Manager will identify and monitor training and development needs for Community Managers within the organization, and design, plan, and implement training programs, policies, and procedures to fulfill those needs. The CAM Training & Development Manager is responsible for ensuring that incoming, provisional and incumbent Community Managers are adequately trained and developed to perform their job duties. They are also responsible for working closely with the Community & Lifestyle leadership team and support departments to ensure the training program is kept up to date with company changes and system enhancements.
Compensation: $70,000-$75,000 annually
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, certifications, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Your Responsibilities:
New Community Manager Onboarding & Training
Create the Community Manager Onboarding and Development Program for market implementation that includes assessments and scripted role plays on top 20 systems and processes for their first 45-90 days. Update and keep current the Community Manager Onboarding & Development Program as policies, systems, etc. are enhanced and/or changed. Identify areas of improvement for the program and a plan to implement these improvements. Develop and coordinate a Community Manager mentorship program to support Community Manager onboarding. Develop and coordinate a comprehensive internal development program to cultivate future community managers. Keep others informed of work progress, timetables, and issues. Address problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions. Motivate and encourage program attendees to successful completion of the programs as well as progress into a Community Manager role. Provide guidance to attendees in assisting them with adapting to change. Demonstrate to attendees the ability to be a strategic thinker in how they approach their job duties. Model excellent communication and interpersonal skills to attendees to ensure they develop these skills. Model relationship building and mentor the attendees to develop this skill. Create metrics to measure how attendees of the program are progressing. Develop interventions to assist attendees when they are not progressing successfully. Work within the organization to identify opportunities to refer successful attendees to opportunities available for transfer.
Community Manager Learning & Resource Development
Coordinates and oversees the training schedule and needs of all Community Managers. Partner with department leads and SMEs to schedule and organize specialized operations training sessions. Ensure SMEs have the necessary materials, resources, and guidance to conduct effective and engaging sessions. Update and assist in the development of operations training pages on systems and processes, including how-to videos and step-by-step guides. Facilitate and coordinate refresher training on systems and processes for Community Managers. Lead the budget season committee and trainings. Support companywide and market change management activities.
Additional Training Responsibilities
Facilitate resident portal demos for prospective clients, as needed. Coordinate lunch & learns with vendors as necessary or as requested. Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma, college degree preferred. Proven operations training and facilitation experience preferred. NRED full Community Manager License. At least 4 years of community management experience preferred. Valid Nevada Driver’s License and state-mandated vehicle insurance. Full comprehension and attainment of the following practices: financial, written, verbal, negotiations, thoroughness, procedural comprehension and compliance. Demonstrated ability to coordinate and develop learning programs. Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications, specifically PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Superior written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in English. Excellent general math skills. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must be able to work well under pressure and deadlines, as well as work independently and prioritize time effectively. Ability to make decisions and solve problems creatively.Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time. Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard. Must be able to lift and carry up to 35lbs, as needed. Must be able hear to independently answer and place telephone calls. Ability to walk extensive slope and/or flat association areas and visually inspect landscape and building areas to ensure proper maintenance. Regular schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must be able to work evenings and some weekends as needed. Consistent and regular attendance required.
