**Summary:**
The Camera and Depth HW team within the Smart Glasses team develops high-performance Camera and Depth solutions for Reality Lab's products. This multidisciplinary group brings research to life by realizing state-of-the-art custom modules including mixed-signal ASICs, image sensors, lasers, optics, and firmware. The Core System team is seeking a Camera & Depth Electrical Engineer for end-to-end ownership of development and productization electrical engineering from early concepts to release to mass production and own camera system specifications. We are seeking an Electrical Engineer who has an interest for working across disciplines to transform research technologies into physical solutions.
**Required Skills:**
Camera and Depth Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:
1. As a Camera & Depth Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the circuit design, board bring-up, implementation and debug of mixed-signal ASICs and systems used in our solutions. You will experiment with and develop novel solutions to complex electronics problems, working closely with cross-functional partners combining electronics, image sensors, optics, mechanicals, and firmware.
2. Responsible for the implementation and debugging of mixed-signal ASICs, board-level circuitry, high-speed RF signal integrity and systems used in our solutions.
3. Develop novel solutions to complex electronics problems.
4. Work closely with cross functional partners combining electronics, image sensors, optics, mechanicals, and firmware.
5. Collaborate with the System electrical engineering teams on seamless integration of camera and depth modules into Reality Labs’ devices.
6. Develop design methodologies and Best Practices for the Camera & Depth EE team.
7. Implement our PDP methodology in all designs, and present your work in design reviews.
8. Assess vendors and manage outsourced development of PCBs.
9. Lead debugging and failure analysis activities.
**Minimum Qualifications:**

10. BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in electronic hardware development
11. 3+ years of experience on consumer product life cycles or related fields
12. Experience with system-level design including circuit design, high-speed, RF, signal integrity, PCB layout, system bring-up, integration and/or debug
13. Experience with low-power analog circuit design, DC/DC converters, power management methods, A/D and D/A conversion and/or image sensors
14. Experience with designing the following electrical subsystems such as: power regulators, high speed digital signal integrity (MIPI CPHY, MIPI DPHY), SOC and micro-controllers, serial-communication protocols (I2C, I3C, SPI, LVDS)
15. Experience with schematic capture and PCB design using Cadence OrCAD/Allegro or equivalent
16. Proven understanding of power characterization and signal integrity test or equivalent
17. Experience with developing detailed test plans and performing electrical hardware validation
18. Experience with laboratory validation work which includes the experience to test/validate/debug completed reworks/assemblies/development platforms using oscilloscopes, frame grabber, optical sensor devices, logic analyzers, impedance analyzers, or similar

20. 5+ years of consumer product life cycles of experience
21. Experience with camera or depth sensor electrical design
22. Experience with laser driver or Camera and Depth sensor chip architectures
23. Experience developing modules or systems in high volume consumer electronic products
24. Experience using scripting languages like Matlab/Python/C for data analysis and experience of running firmware commands to drive prototype platforms
25. Experience running FW commands to drive prototype platforms
26. Experience partnering with software or firmware teams to define and verify HW design maturity across test cases
27. Experience working with JDM, ODM, CM partners
28. Understanding of camera data pipelines
**Public Compensation:**
$139,000/year to $200,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
