The Food Service Worker is responsible for the implementing of camp meals with the Food Service Director. The Food Service Worker is not required to live on the camp property.
Duration
The Food Service Worker position includes 1.5 weeks of pre-camp staff training and 5 weeks of residential camp that run from Sunday afternoon to Friday afternoon each week. Specific dates camp is open are June 25 -August 8, 2025. The Food Service Worker is responsible for assisting the Food Service Director with the cleaning and closing of the camp’s kitchen facility. The Food Service Worker may also be invited to work in the kitchen for Camp rental groups as needed, until August 30, 2025.
Specific Responsibilities
Cook and serve meals efficiently.
Care and cleaning of kitchen equipment and facility.
Assist in filling requisition requests for special meals and weekend meals.
Support and embrace diversity in all interactions with campers, other staff members, volunteers, and parents. Implement programs that engage diverse backgrounds, interests and learning styles.
Other duties may be assigned as required.
Qualifications
18 years of age or previous experience as an assistant cook.
Experience with food management and large quantity cooking.
Willingness and ability to be flexible to adjust to camp resources, conditions, and program.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, temporary position.
Salary and Benefit Details
Starting Pay of $15.50/hour. Benefits are not available for this position
