Please see Additional Information section below. ***You will serve as a CAMP DIRECTOR in the CAMP SERVICES in the Camp Services of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BUTLER . Responsibilities You will serve as the Camp Director responsible for the oversight and prioritization of all installation related functions and activities aboard the camp. You will advise the Camp Commander on all matters relative to the mission, functions, and daily operations to meet camp objectives and support tenant requirements, including formulation of long and short range goals, objectives, policies, and plans. You will develop and execute staff programs to ensure productivity, cost effectiveness and efficiency of camp-services initiatives, and positions and enable staff as necessary to meet evolving camp and tenant mission requirements. You will manage and supervise the Camp Services Division; assign work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and capabilities of employees; provide technical oversight, develop performance plans; evaluate work performance You will maintain close coordination with stakeholders aboard the camp, at the regional headquarters, and relevant local agencies. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing overall operational, administrative, and security support for camp residents; advising camp commander on strategic and operational plans, policies, programs and procedures to meet mission goals AND monitoring all host nation and US projects, working with staff in prioritizing work and costs are within budget constraints. Commute area is defined as the geographic area surrounding the duty location in which people can reasonably be expected to travel back and forth daily. Military Spouses and Family Members may apply 30 days before their anticipated arrival date. However, they will not receive preference until arrival at the foreign location. Military spouses and family members who are appointed may not extend longer than 2 months following the transfer of the sponsor from the commuting area of the foreign duty station; 2 months beyond the separation of the appointee's sponsor; or any time beyond the time employee ceases to be a family member. ICTAP Applicants: To be considered well-qualified and exercise selection priority as an ICTAP candidate, displaced Federal employees must satisfy all qualification requirements for the position and receive a rating in the highly qualified category (score 85) or higher.
