JOB SUMMARY:
The Housing Coordinator's overall objective is to ensure that every camper has an appropriate housing assignment based on Woodward housing guidelines. They must professionally communicate and engage with campers and their families, while being directly involved with camper arrivals and departures each week. The Housing Coordinator is knowledgeable in guest services and housing procedures and establishes a culture of consistency to ensure the quality within department. The Housing Coordinator is critical to achieving an unparalleled experience for campers & their parents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with the Hospitality Manager to communicate with head cabin counselor.
Manage nightly cabin roll call assignments and execute housing assignments for campers.
Serve the needs of campers and parents with patience, compassion and confidence.
Efficiently communicate needs and safety concerns.
Manage accountability of all campers on-site throughout each week.
Assist in camper parent/guardian communication.
Organize daily camper housing inspections and conduct weekly housing checks on units in use.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
Well-spoken and articulate over the phone, through written contact, and in person
Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate supervision, agile, and able to pivot quickly
Strong attention to detail
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SPECIAL SKILLS:
Must have customer service experience
High school degree or equivalent preferred
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
+/- 300-600 Campers (7-17 years old) per week
BASIC SCHEDULE/REQUIREMENTS:
As a requirement of this position, pre-hire criminal history clearances are collected from the Pennsylvania State Police (PATCH) system, child abuse clearances are obtained through the Pa Department of Human Services, and federal history is taken through FBI fingerprint screening.
Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50lbs.
Adhere to all workplace safety practices, expectations, and guidelines
Must be comfortable working in an outdoor all-season environment.
Seasonal position. Preferred Pre-Camp availability starting early June or by June 12th, and preferred 9-week commitment during summer camp season
