About you and this role
Dow's Mumbai Global Accounting (MGA) Financial and Statutory (F&S) Accounting team at Airoli Navi Mumbai is integral to ensuring compliance with financial regulations and statutory requirements. The team is responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing statutory audits, and ensuring accurate tax filings. They also handle regulatory reporting and maintain adherence to local and international accounting standards. The F&S team collaborates closely with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations and reporting. Their expertise in financial regulations and meticulous attention to detail help Dow maintain its reputation for financial integrity and transparency. Continuous improvement and process optimization are key focuses for the team, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in their operations.
And now Dow India has an exciting opportunity for an Intern position within the Mumbai Global Accounting (MGA) Financial and Statutory (F&S) Accounting team at Airoli Navi Mumbai. The intern is responsible for providing consistent support and services to the F&S team.
Responsibilities Includes
Assist Entity Accounting Leader in ensuring timely and accurate completion of the following activities per Dow’s standards:Daily accounting, Monthly/quarterly/annual closures, Monthly balance sheet reconciliation using Black Line, Monthly flux analysis (current vs. prior period explanations), Quarterly/year-end schedulesPreparation of financial statements and statutory audit schedules as per Indian GAAPExecution and monitoring of internal controls, supporting auditsAssisting tax team with various tax reports and auditsSupporting CPAM team with fixed asset accounting tasksMust have Qualifications
Only Candidate from the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) are eligible for this internshipCompleted 12 months of Articleship trainingMaster’s degree (Preferred)Financial Accounting with IGAAP/USGAAP (2-5 years) (Preferred)Your Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed. Proficient on Ind AS & Knowledge of US GAAPResults driven.
