This is a 12-month position, working approximately 20 hours/week. Incumbents in this class perform security and law enforcement-related functions at the Community College, involving responsibility for maintaining order for the security of college property, and safety of students, visitors and staff. The work is performed under general supervision of the Director of Campus Safety with considerable latitude allowed for the exercise of independent judgment in carrying out assignment. Job Requirements: This will be a provisional hire pending successful completion of the Civil Service exam, psychological exam and academy completion. Additional Information: The successful candidate will work mostly nights, Friday and Saturday during the school year with some possible fill-ins for full-time safety officers taking vacations, etc.
