SUMMARY OF JOB UP TO $6000 SIGN ON BONUS The Cancer Center Accreditation Manager is responsible for the oversight and compliance of the oncology accreditations including the Commission on Cancer (CoC), and the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). Responsible for the initial application and pursuit of the ACR accreditation for radiation oncology and oversight and compliance of all radiation oncology standards. Responsible for ensuring the Cancer Center is in compliance with DOH and DNV (hospital accreditation) standards and serves as a role model and mentor for staff. The manager is also responsible for training and education of all Cancer Center staff on survey readiness and oncology accreditation standards. The manager will develop initiatives to improve compliance and facilitate quality research as required by the standards. Additional responsibilities include process improvement, tracking and trending progress, and action planning. Responsible for reviewing and updating the Cancer Center and IRB policies and procedures. Manager has direct supervision of the Cancer Registry staff including any contracted registry staff. Leads the Breast Program Steering Council and Cancer Committee. Represents the Cancer Center on the hospital Quality Committee. The Cancer Center Accreditation manager will ensure all oncology accreditation and organizational quality metrics are met and develop programmatic goals. RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS BSN required Strong background/experience in oncology regulatory standards. OCN preferred Minimum of 5 years experience in acute healthcare setting. Oncology experience required. Prior Supervisory experience required. Five years of prior experience in quality improvement, process improvement. Thorough knowledge of quality/performance improvement principles. Experience with facilitating quality and safety assessment and improvement activities preferred Proficient in Microsoft office and other PC applications, including Excel Proficient in data base management, statistical analysis and report generation Interpersonal skills necessary to maintain effective working relationships with employees, physicians, Departmental Directors, Administrators and general public Knowledge of medical terminology. Must possess excellent verbal communication skills and be proficient in English usage and grammar. Must be flexible with hours worked during survey preparation and on-site surveys. Independently perform work functions. Must exhibit tact and diplomacy; interface well with staff, managers, physicians and other health care providers; display a high degree of confidentiality. Complies with System, entity, and departmental policies and procedures. LICENSE AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS: Registered Nurse with current PA license required. BSN required.
