our own identity with a unique payroll benefits performance management system service recognition programs and other common practices across the systemPosition SummarySupports cancer programs by way of maintaining databases by collecting and organizing data program registries and quality metrics This individual will also provide administrative support for Cancer Institute programs and related meetings such as managing multi disciplinary conferences coordinating patient tracking engaging in quality improvement initiatives and promoting community outreach and education This role also supports the daily management of accreditation and certification requirements This individual would need to establish and maintain favorable relationships with physicians healthcare providers community and professional groups and other potential referral sourcesPosition ResponsibilitiesKey Areas of ResponsibilityMaintain patient trackers various excel spread sheets program dashboards and REDcap databases Maintain patient databases and track recommended follow upsPrepare for attend document minutes and follow up on action items of inter professional andor committee conferences and other Cancer Institute specific programmatic meeting structuresCollect and maintain raw program quality metrics by way of chart extraction and physician collaboration Complete quarterly audits of patients and prepare presentationsSupport facilitate patient educationcommunity education sessions and support groups Assist in maintaining patient and referring provider educational materials and patient collateralCommunicate with patients and distribute unique diagnosis specific material to assess prior studies Track patient throughput and document in patientrsquos electronic health records and communicate with providers nurses medical assistants genetic counselors and other care team members as neededEnsure CME requirements for various providers and practitioners are maintainedPrepare for accreditation site visitsPrepare and design PowerPoint presentations draft agendas internal communications and other necessary materialsWorking RelationshipsThis Job Reports To Job Title Minimum yearsrsquo experience in a medicalsurgical practice yearsrsquo experience in customer service and data management Has worked in a research environment with responsibilities including data collection and assisting with presentingmiddot Preferred Epic experience Language Skillsmiddot EnglishKnowledge Skills and Ability Requirements Basic computer knowledge proficient in Microsoft Office applications eg Word Excel Outlook PowerPointexperience in Epic Hyperspace highly preferred ability to communicate and interact efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals excellent customer service skills must have time management skills attention to detailaccuracy able to work well with others and on their own knowledgeable in medical terminology and with EMR systems ability to travel independently to satellite offices ability to improve quality and productivity by identifying improvement opportunities establishes own work plan and prioritizes using standard procedures to
