Cancer Risk Navigator

Job Description:

The Cancer Risk Navigator supports the workflows associated with Baptist Health’s cancer risk assessment program.  The navigator contacts patients that are identified to have an elevated risk for breast cancer and/or identified to meet genetic testing criteria to ensure that they are aware of their risk assessment results and aware of the options available based on their results.  The navigator communicates with both patients and providers while supporting an initiative to improve the identification of patients at elevated risk for cancer.  The navigator will be knowledgeable about the risk assessment program and will function as a resource for providers and patients.  This position requires excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.  The navigator will have a passion for patient care, and an interest in genetics and risk assessments.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required :

Associate's degree required (in Nursing or Radiologic technologist) or a Bachelor's in Biological/Health science preferred. Relevant experience in supporting a cancer risk assessment program in lieu of a degree may be considered.One year of related experience required.Relevant professional registration/certification/licensure required.
