As a Managing Director within PNC's Trading organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh or Philadelphia, PA or New York. The position is primarily based in a PNC location.

The Managing Director will be responsible for leading the profitable trading strategy and execution for municipals where they will make markets and manage risk as well as understand the team's compliance within risk and regulatory requirements. This individual will also work strategically with traders, sales teams, and investment bankers to increase dialogue and maintain and develop customer relationships.
Additional responsibilities include:
• Identifying relative value opportunities and makes markets.
• Monitoring market conditions and manage risk in the trading book.
• Understanding and executing hedging risk strategies.
• Working with sales teams to develop dialogue among customers while maximizing revenue.
• Monitoring trading activities, industry and market developments and regulatory requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Trading both secondary and competitive sectors of the market
• Ensuring appropriate training and development of the analyst pool.

Licenses Required for this role are:
Fixed Income (Tax-Exempt): Municipal Trading and Underwriting – SIE, Series 52 and 63 (or Series 7, if taken prior to 11/7/2011, is acceptable in lieu of Series 52).

Preferred experience includes:
• 5-7 years fixed income municipal trading with experience bidding competitive and/or secondary deals nationwide.

Job DescriptionLeads and manages trading strategy and execution for select capital markets products. Makes markets in designated customer products and manages portfolio risk. Enforces team's compliance with risk and regulatory requirements. May be responsible for a team of traders.Works strategically with traders, sales team, relationship managers and investment bankers to develop and execute complex trading/hedging strategies. Maintains relationships with buyers and sellers. Drives accountability for business results and ensures appropriate training, coaching, development and mentoring of staff.Identifies relative value opportunities and makes markets. Monitors market conditions and manages risk across trading portfolios.Works with stakeholders to develop comprehensive capital markets and selling strategies to maximize revenue and new business activity. Focuses market/product coverage efforts and ensures appropriate resource allocation.Monitors trading activities, industry and market developments and regulatory requirements. Ensures compliance with policies and regulations. Works with key stakeholders to develop/modify relevant policies and guidelines. Provides coaching to team members.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $200,000.00 – $250,000.00

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
