Our client, The University of San Francisco (USF) is looking to fill the CAP Student Advisor Program Assistant position.

The University of San Francisco is currently seeking a highly motivated organized educational advocate to work in the College Access Program within the University and the affiliated CAPS schools. This part-time position is located onsite.

Responsibilities:

Provide academic advising to students at an assigned CAP target school, offering guidance on college admissions and financial aid processesIdentify and recruit eligible applicants for the programAssess and evaluate students’ educational needs and academic potentialSupport academic success by referring students with a GPA below a C to tutorial and academic support servicesAssist in planning and delivering group workshops, both in-person at target schools and virtuallyPerform administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and managing phone and email communicationsMaintain accurate student records and assist with preparing correspondence, flyers, and other program materialsAttend and assist with program orientations, workshops, presentations, field trips, and meetingsFlexibility to participate in weekend and evening events as requiredPerform additional duties as assigned to support program goals

Qualifications:

Passionate about programs designed to identify and provide services for individuals from disadvantaged backgroundsExperienced in operating various office equipment including copiers, fax machines, scanners, and calculatorsStrong customer service, interpersonal, and teamwork skillsExceptional time management and organizational abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPrior experience working with middle and high school youth in academic/educational outreach programsProficient with computer applications, including Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite

Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
