**Division** : CRST Capacity Solutions brings together our Brokerage and Expedited services.
**Work location:** Onsite in Cedar Rapids
**Shift:** 5:00pm to 5:00am E/O Wednesday and Thursday - Sunday.
**Compensation:** $40,000-$50,000 is the average starting annual salary (Pay Bi-Weekly) _*A final amount is dependent on factors including prior relevant experience, knowledge, and location. Typically, selected candidates are hired at a rate between the minimum and midpoint of the range._
This position is eligible for a shift differential bonus of an additional $2,400 per year.
**Job Summary:**
Managing and optimizing the capacity of resources within an organization. Capacity operations professionals play a crucial role in ensuring that the organization's resources, such as infrastructure, equipment, and personnel, are utilized efficiently to meet demand and maximize productivity. They assess resource availability, identify bottlenecks, and develop capacity plans to ensure that the organization can meet current and future demand. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to align capacity plans with business objectives and optimize resource allocation.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Provide exemplary customer service to our customer base and third-party carriers.
+ Broker freight and negotiate rates to third-party carriers who will meet or exceed service and safety standards.
+ Serve as the primary negotiator/decision-maker for CRST about securing freight from customers and dispatching capacity to move the freight.
+ Resolve operational conflicts with or between customers, carriers, shippers, and receivers.
+ Ensure concise and timely input of data into computer systems.
+ Resolve customer and/or carrier service and pricing discrepancies.
+ Ensure compliance with federal regulations.
+ Work closely with all departments within CRST to increase revenues and total market share while holding costs down.
Support after-hours/weekend 3PL coverage needs and actively help to secure truck capacity when needed.
