POSITION SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of this position is to plan and prepare production schedules and conduct long-term capacity planning for all materials onsite, including but not limited to raws, semi-finished and finished products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop production schedules (bulk, raw material, and shipping) in order to meet productivity, cost, efficiency targets, and inventory goals. Develop and maintain SAP Master Data which includes materials, resources, etc. Adjust MRP planning parameters for raw materials, finished products and intermediates as needed. Ensure accuracy of the MRP System for production items. Conduct analysis of forecasting to maintain stock levels based on replenish-to-order inventory plan. Create and maintain reporting summarizing capacity and service level and any other key performance indicators. Responsible for prioritization, accuracy and adhering to quality and safety standards. Act as a back-up and support resource to the Warehouse Manager and other planners. Provide support in the annual budgeting process for raw materials.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Associate degree in Supply Chain or related field with 8+ years of production planning experience or bachelors degree in Supply Chain or related field with 5+ years of production planning experience. Three to five years of SAP experience. SAP production planning experience preferred. Strong Microsoft Office experience with a heavy emphasis in Excel. APICS certification is preferred. Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) with a strong ability to coordinate cross functionally with other departments such as production, sales, and customer service. Strong detail orientation.

Regularly reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. Frequently required to sit. Occasionally stands and walks. Frequent use of keyboard and mouse. Noise is usually moderate but may vary. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts as well as hazardous materials/chemicals. May be required to wear Specialized Protective or Safety Equipment, such as safety shoes, eye protections, hearing protection, and/or breathing apparatus.
