SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: 

The Capacity Planning Analyst will build and maintain the Master Schedule for all corn bagging processes. This role will also manage inventory integrity, support the quality function, work with production to ensure all bagging processes are completed on time, ensure the correct product is being produced to meet on-time customer demand, and analyze supply chain inefficiencies.  This is a hybrid position working at our Westfield, Indiana office and remote.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for maintaining a high level of confidentiality, customer service, and professionalism; responsible for promotion of a positive image of the company. Analyze corn supply chain operations and suggest recommendations for improvements to leadership team. Track on-time completion of bag, rebag, and retag activities at all internal and external corn production sites by accurately communicating all priorities to ensure all shipping goals are met and exceeded. Partner with the Production team to ensure products are being produced to meet customer demands. Identify and solve inefficiencies within the scheduling, bagging and shipping processes. Manage conversion data to ensure work orders represent a close estimate of the sample taken. Manage the corn discard process to ensure all financial projections are met. Support the Quality Assurance Manager in all corn quality related processes. Focal point for all corn disposal processes and partner with finance to report all corn disposal activities. Lead and improve the implementation of all packaging tools and models. Compile supply information for leadership team. Ensure data integrity and proper ownership for all bagging activities.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field required. 2-3 years previous supply chain experience. Knowledge of seed industry preferred.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Ability to make informed decisions utilizing data as support is an essential function of this position. Process improvement focused that will include the opportunity to become a subject matter expert in many areas. Able to influence behavior to drive change across multiple departments. Skilled with the Microsoft Office Suite of products with an emphasis on Excel and Access.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work required hours. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds Must have valid driver’s license and meet MVR guidelines. Ability to travel up to 10%, some overnight travel required
