Capex Buyer

Campofrio Food Group is a subsidiary company of Sigma. It is one of the largest and leading European companies that produces meat, dairy, and other refrigerated and frozen products sold through brands well-positioned throughout the markets in which it participates. It is a dynamic, creative, and sophisticated corporation with a strong focus on professional and business ethical values. We are currently looking for a Capex Buyer based in Madrid as part of the European Sourcing team.

Main responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize costs, ensure supply continuity, and support company goals.Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and build strong relationships with suppliers to secure favorable terms, competitive pricing, and high-quality services for equipment services contracts.Negotiations: Lead competitive tendering (RFP/RFQ) and negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions for cost-effective agreements.Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, supplier alternatives, and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis.Market Analysis: Monitor commodity market trends, price fluctuations, and risks to inform procurement strategies and forecasting.Contract Compliance: Ensure procurement contracts comply with company policies, regulations, and legal standards, and manage renewals effectively.Risk Management: Identify and address supply chain risks, ensuring continuity through contingency planning and supplier performance monitoring.Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments (Engineering, Finance, RD, Operations…) to align procurement strategies with material needs and project requirements.Continuous Improvement: Enhance procurement processes to improve efficiency, performance, and supplier quality.Project Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development, new material introductions, and other strategic initiatives.

Technical skillset

- 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, or procurement, with specific experience in commodity management or related industries.

- Knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance in procurement contracts and agreements.

- Ability to identify and solve problems related to supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and sourcing challenges.

- Advanced Excel user (SAP, sourcing tools knowledge will be a plus)

- Analytical Thinking

- Fluent in English

Soft skillset

- Strong ability to negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure favorable conditions.

- Experience in managing discussions around cost, delivery schedules, and quality requirements.

- Strong communication skills for cross-departmental coordination.

- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
