Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Capital Access Consultant - Boca Raton, FL.
The Florida Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Florida Atlantic University offers high-level consulting and training to small and medium-sized businesses in Broward and Palm Beach Counties. The Capital Access Consultant provides specialized consulting and advisory services to small businesses and entrepreneurs seeking funding solutions.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one consulting to small business owners on financial strategies and capital access.Assist clients in preparing loan packages, business plans, financial projections, and funding applications.Guide businesses through the process of securing bank loans, SBA loans, venture capital, angel investments, and grant funding.Conduct financial analysis and risk assessments to improve clients’ creditworthiness and funding success.Advise clients on financial management, cash flow, and loan repayment strategies.Establish and maintain relationships with financial institutions, investors, government agencies, and alternative lenders.Collaborate with banks, credit unions, and other funding entities to create capital access opportunities.Partner with local economic development organizations to expand funding resources for small businesses.Develop and deliver workshops, webinars, and training sessions on capital access topics.Educate small business owners on financial literacy, loan readiness, and investment preparation.Create educational materials and resources for SBDC clients on financing options and best practices.Maintain detailed notes taken during each consulting engagement and enter directly into the SBDC CRM platform.Track and report in Salesforce capital access impact secured by clients as a result of consulting effortsSupport SBDC grant reporting requirements by documenting client successes and outcomes.Client scheduling will be conducted by the consultant after receiving client contact information from the SBDC.Explore Living in Palm Beach County:

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution in the specialization of commercial lending, small business finance, investment, or economic development or a related field and 3 years of experience; or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in the specialization of commercial lending, small business finance, investment, or economic development or a related field and 5 years of experience required.Salary:
