Capital Markets Development Professional (Hybrid - 3 Days in Office - VA)

Position Overview: 

The Multifamily division at our firm is dedicated to providing liquidity to the secondary mortgage market for multifamily loans. Within this division, the Capital Markets area manages our securitization platform, which includes the widely recognized K and PC programs. We are seeking a Capital Markets Development Professional for our Loan Pricing Group. In this multifaceted role, you will manage applications and tools developed in MS Excel, Access, MS SQL, Python, and Denodo to support pricing activities and perform analysis and reporting.

The Loan Pricing group collaborates with our Production & Underwriting teams and is responsible for pricing all loans that we purchase. As such, our systems, actions, and processes directly influence the profitability of the Multifamily division, placing us at the core of business strategy execution. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn all aspects of Multifamily real estate and apply technology to solve compelling challenges. 

Your Impact: 

As an independent member of a small team, you will implement creative solutions to business problems, facilitating the daily operations of Loan Pricing. Key activities include:

Developing and maintaining financial and operational software for multifamily loan pricing and reporting. You will primarily use your knowledge of VBA and SQL for maintaining existing tools, with opportunities to use Python in newer projects.

Collaborating with pricing analysts on ad-hoc reporting and operational needs, utilizing your expertise in writing complex SQL queries to extract data and visualizing it using Excel or Tableau.

Working with internal partners on IT development projects. Once you understand the pricing business, you will represent the pricing team and communicate their requirements to IT on larger technology initiatives.

Qualifications:

College Degree or equivalent experience; work towards advanced studies/degree preferred

Typically has 2 - 4 years related experience

Proficiency in SQL, particularly with Microsoft SQL Server databases. Experience with T-SQL for data retrieval and P-SQL for backend development is preferred. Experience with Denodo is a plus.

Experience with Microsoft Excel and Access, including VBA development

Experience with Tableau or other data visualization platforms for reporting like Power BI

Keys to Success in this Role:

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $94,000 - $140,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
